Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PatchPings mobile application (the "App") and the PatchPings website at patchpings.com (the "Website"), together referred to as the "Service". The Service is operated by CodenVibe IT LLC, a company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using PatchPings, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. Refund terms are set out in the Refund Policy section below.

01Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use PatchPings. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

If you use PatchPings on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to that organization.

02Description of the Service

PatchPings is a tool that allows you to:

Scan websites for security configurations, including HTTP security headers, SSL/TLS certificates, DNS records, and HTTP redirect behavior
View scan results, including grades and detected issues
Receive AI-generated explanations and guidance on how to address detected issues
Save and view a history of your scans
Access additional features that may be offered now or in the future, including monitoring and alerts

PatchPings provides informational results only

We do not guarantee that scan results are complete, accurate, or current at all times. Website configurations change frequently, and results reflect the state of a target at the moment of the scan.

PatchPings is an informational tool and is not a substitute for a professional security audit, penetration test, or legal compliance assessment.

03Acceptable use

You agree to use PatchPings only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Your use of the scanning features is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

In particular, you agree that:

You will only scan websites and domains that you own, operate, or have explicit authorization to scan
You will not use PatchPings to scan, probe, attack, or attempt to exploit any system without authorization
You will not use the Service in any way that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to scan any domain you submit

We are not responsible for any unauthorized use of the Service by you.

04Prohibited conduct

You must not:

Use PatchPings to scan or test any website or system you do not own or have permission to test
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, our systems, or other users' accounts
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
Use automated scripts, bots, or other means to access the Service beyond normal app usage or to circumvent usage limits
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its results without our prior written permission
Use the Service to transmit malware, viruses, or any harmful code
Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate any of these rules.

05Accounts

Some features require you to create an account by signing in with Google.

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
All activity that occurs under your account
Notifying us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, remain inactive for an extended period, or are used in a manner that may harm the Service or other users.

06Guest access

You may use certain features of PatchPings as a guest without creating an account, subject to a limit on the number of scans. Guest data, including scan count, is stored locally on your device and is not backed up to our servers. We are not responsible for any loss of guest data.

07Subscriptions, billing, and payment

PatchPings offers free features and may offer paid subscription plans ("Subscriptions").

Free features

Core scanning features are available free of charge to signed-in users. We reserve the right to modify what is included in the free tier at any time.

Paid Subscriptions

Certain features may be offered through paid Subscriptions billed on a recurring basis (for example, monthly). By purchasing a Subscription, you agree to pay the applicable fees.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor. Your Subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

No refunds

All Subscription payments are final and non-refundable. By purchasing a Subscription, you acknowledge and agree that you will not receive a refund for any amounts already paid, including for partial billing periods, unused time, or if you cancel before the end of a billing period. You accept this no-refund policy at the time of purchase. For full details, see our Refund Policy.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals. You will continue to have access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, after which your access to paid features will end. No refund is provided for the remaining period.

Price changes

We may change Subscription prices from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice of any price change. Price changes take effect at the start of the next billing period after the notice.

08Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains the terms regarding payments and refunds for PatchPings subscriptions. PatchPings is operated by CodenVibe IT LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy is part of and should be read together with our Terms of Service.

By purchasing a subscription to PatchPings, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy.

All sales are final

All payments for PatchPings subscriptions are final and non-refundable.

When you purchase or renew a subscription, you are charged in advance for the upcoming billing period. We do not provide refunds or credits for:

Any partial billing period
Unused time on your subscription
Cancellation before the end of a billing period
Subscriptions you forgot to cancel before renewal
Periods during which you did not use the Service
Dissatisfaction with features, results, or the Service

You accept this policy before you pay

Before you complete any subscription purchase or upgrade, you are presented with and must accept our Terms of Service, which include this no-refund policy. By proceeding with payment, you confirm that you understand and agree that your payment is non-refundable.

We make this policy clear at the point of purchase specifically so that you can make an informed decision before subscribing.

Try before you subscribe

We encourage you to fully explore PatchPings before purchasing a subscription. Our free tier gives signed-in users access to core scanning features at no cost, so you can evaluate whether the Service meets your needs before paying for any premium features.

Because a free tier is available, we do not offer trial-based refunds on paid subscriptions.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. To cancel:

Manage your subscription through the platform where you purchased it (for example, your account settings or the relevant app store), or
Contact us at [email protected]

When you cancel

Your subscription will not renew for the next billing period
You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
After your current period ends, your access to paid features will stop
No refund is issued for the remaining time in the current period

Exceptions

While all sales are final, we will comply with any refund rights that are required and cannot be waived under the laws of your jurisdiction. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be overridden by agreement.

If you are located in a jurisdiction that grants a mandatory, non-waivable statutory right to a refund, that right will be honored to the extent legally required.

Payments through app stores

If you purchased a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, that store's refund policies and procedures may also apply, and any refund request may need to be directed to the store rather than to us. Each app store handles billing and refunds according to its own terms, which are outside our control.

Failed or disputed payments

If a payment fails, we may suspend your access to paid features until payment is successfully processed. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account.

Changes to this Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Changes apply to purchases made after the updated policy takes effect. Your continued use of paid features after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

09Expert services (CodenVibe)

PatchPings may offer you the option to engage CodenVibe IT LLC for professional services to address issues detected by the Service. Any such services are provided under a separate agreement and are not governed by these Terms. Engaging these services is entirely optional.

10Intellectual property

All content, design, code, graphics, logos, trademarks, and other materials in the Service are the property of CodenVibe IT LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

The PatchPings name, logo, and tagline "Secure. Monitor. Fix." are trademarks of CodenVibe IT LLC. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

You retain ownership of the URLs and domain names you submit for scanning. By submitting a URL, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to perform the requested scan and return results to you.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose in accordance with these Terms.

11Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
Scan results will be accurate, complete, or current
The Service will meet your specific requirements
Any issues identified by the Service represent all issues present on a scanned website
Defects will be corrected

You use the Service at your own risk

PatchPings is an informational tool and does not guarantee the security of any website.

12Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CODENVIBE IT LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Loss of data, scan history, or profits
Security incidents on any website, regardless of scan results
Decisions made based on PatchPings scan results
Service interruptions or downtime
Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or your data

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $10

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

13Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CodenVibe IT LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or relating to:

Your use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy
Your violation of any rights of a third party
Your scanning of any website or domain you were not authorized to scan
Any content or data you submit to the Service

14Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including Google OAuth, Supabase, Resend, and others. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of any third-party service.

15Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

16Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including if you violate these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account by contacting [email protected].

17Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

18Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, United States, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

19Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

20Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CodenVibe IT LLC regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
